Natural disasters and collapsing bridges have got me thinking. (pause) If rain comes from existing water from oceans, etc, and cycles around; and the law of conservation of matter/energy says that no m/e can be created or destroyed; and all living genes are derived from the genes of previous generations; does that theme cross over into consciousness? do we all think independently or are we part of a global experience? will my emotions, thoughts, spirit live on in others? Can I even call it mine, or is it everyone's? If this theory holds, what is the evolution of this consciousness? how can we affect it, or transcend it? How is it that we relate to others and what in us (or them, or everyone)moves us to sacrifice of ourselves?
Le sidenote en francais: Denis Diderot, je t'aime comme un amoureux. Et vous aussie Andre Gide. Vos ecritures sont des petits dieux que je bois dedans. (DD, I love you like a lover. And you too, AG. your writings are like little gods that I drink in.) (I think it's dedans. it's not dans is it?)
