hokay. Taxes were lovely this year. I get about $500 back in total. Thank god Washington doesn't have income tax. Although I do wish I could get some sales tax back! The Oregon partial-res form was quite ungainly, and somehow, they managed to get $60 out of me. I only made $4000 in Oregon, so how they can make me pay them is beyond me. Last year's form was much simpler. Just think, no more state income tax for a good long while.
1040EZ is my friend. I think if I had itemized I could have maybe gotten something extra for moving expenses or some shit. But, la vie est belle. So, I'm taking my refund and not worrying about it.
I hate how if I didn't pay them enough (hasn't happened yet), I have to pay them interest on that amount, but I essentially loaned the government $500 throughout the year, and do I see interest on that? not a penny. fuck em all.
Alright, enough finances for one day. I get paid next friday, and, ultimately, that's all I need to know. I'm not out to own the world. Here I am, and as long as I can get the good yogurt, I'm not worried about moneys. I think everything with school next year will be okay. I'm feeling confident, so hopefully that feeling will last.
