Worry, worry, worry (sometimes I think it's the only thing I'm good at)

QiQi has developed a facial tick. Goodness knows where it came from. Now I'm worrying about rabies. (This worry is not as completely random as you might think - of course, I seriously hope it's going to be a waste of a good worry - but there is some backstory that I never gave you.) None of the webpages I've checked have listed facial ticks as an initial symptom, and he has been vaccinated (it was by the Chinese vet, though, and you know how reliable they've been in the past), but I'm probably going to continue worrying until we've been to the vet. Only problem: I left for work this morning at 6.40am and returned at 10pm, tomorrow I'm on again from 7.40 until about 6pm, and V is flat on his back in bed with some form of illness. (Could be a nasty flu-like cold which has been going round, or it could just be V's normal winter illness.) Thus, the only vet I can take the dog to before Monday is going to be the useless Chinese one. Would it be best to go there anyway?

Also I have to write an essay on evidence-based practice in teaching. By tomorrow.
