Home again

Well things have settled down in large measure.

Frank is home, but little is known about what is going on. For the moment things have abated. It is frustrating to not known what is wrong and if it will happen again. Past experience with my own Dad tells me it will. With Dad I learned to look for (and be grateful for) the plateaus, not the big upswings. Big upswings never came, but plateaus did.

Macy is home. Her ulcer is under repair and she seems to be doing well. Charlie is beside himself happy. While she was gone he just wanted to stand in the backyard and bay.

We had the parish leaders for Evening Prayer tonight. What a difference having 35 rather than 8 or 9! Our little "band" of LoH devotees has gotten pretty tight, so this seemed loose. I served as the Leader and became more nervous than expected. jaynefury has tended to occupy the role of Leader more often than myself of late and I felt a little "out of calibration." thomryng lent a steady hand (and voice) to keep things in sync.
