baileytc, apparently I lied. Grey's Anatomy is tomorrow night, the premiere that was happening tonight was SVU.
Which I'm all of 20 minutes into(of two hours) and I already want DesmondEric and Olivia to date, get married and have awesome, time traveling detective babies. It'd be brilliant.
I really hope he doesn't turn out to be some kind of skeeze.
ETA: Boooooooo :( They always turn out to be skeezes. That's the one thing about SVU, there's never any secondary characters that don't turn out to be wackjob pedophiles. It would have been so much cooler if he turned out to be a good guy secondary characters and then he and Olivia dated, got married and had time traveling detective babies.
So, in general, I think that both eps were better than the last few eps of the previous season, which I had...some problems with. However, I thought the first ep was a much stronger one. I think mainly cause of the second one making Desmond Eric into a baddie. It was a little too predictable/SVUy. They just fall into this trap, sometimes, where they think they're being shocking by making an apparent good guy actually be a perp, but they've done it so much that it's actually what's expected at this point.
I think that's what made last season's finale so weak to me -- not the specific perp/good guy thing, but just the constant switching and being like "ISN'T THIS SO SHOCKING?" It's just a bit too much.
Still! I really liked the premiere ep, and I hope that this season is a little stronger than the last.
