Wednesday: Basic Instructions
Well, the weather sure is nice. Really nice. It's actually always beautiful after a tornado - or 9. That's not whimsy, the weather is always lovely in Texas after it basically throws an epic temper tantrum. Summer is still fighting us so we keep referring to events as cold fronts.
The only change in Kevin is he's very tired. Like he went to sleep at 7pm last night. We'll see how this pans out tonight.
I need to research (or 'now accepting help on') website packages for my project. I need something that will just bill me if the bandwidth spikes instead of shutting off my website. That's a biggie. I need to land an interface that makes updating a snap. I'm kicking around a comment area versus a forum versus a generic email box. Forums are old and it helps to have someone ride herd on them - which I don't know any teenagers willing to do that. I know some jobless housebound people that might but most are neurotic and one has anxiety and gets into political rants with generous portions of Star Trek, Godzilla and Dr Who references.
Keep in mind that I'm so chaotic neutral that I keep flipping a coin to decide on letting these delightful cretins I call friends run my forums anyway. hehehe.
I know I need the option to give out email addresses anyway to certain contributors so if people want to contact them due to work they've done on my site, they can be reached through my site instead of putting their private emails or Facebook out there. So I will need email and email storage space. Nothing big though, no one should be emailing in video or wav files.
Christmas gifts are starting to appear at my house. I did some early shopping. Now to keep track of what for who is stashed where. I sure do this to myself, don't I?
