Today's flat viewings didn't prove very fruitful either, except that I have decided to avoid signing anything with Clyde Properties as they are clearly a bunch of incompetents. One viewing with them was supposed to be of an empty flat, but we arrived to find the current tenant in the process of moving out and entirely unforewarned of our visit. He was lovely about it and let me look around amongst the piles of boxes anyway, but the flat was a bit of a shoebox and I'd never have fitted all my stuff in it. The second viewing with Clyde was of a flat that the landlord was supposed to be there to let us into, but nobody was in and the guy from Clyde didn't have the keys, so I didn't get to see that one. Unimpressive stuff. Hopefully tomorrow's viewings before work will be better. I'm beginning to run out of time to find something before I actually have to move.
I went to the evening service at church which was spookily empty because of the football but was a really good sermon about Jacob wrestling with God by one of the associate rectors, Fiona. I know the Bible says women shouldn't preach in church and there's all this hoo-hah in the press at the moment about women bishops, but really, when you hear excellent teaching like that, it's hard not to wonder what all the fuss is about really. As a woman, I often prefer listening to teaching from another woman anyway. Suck on that, St. Paul.
