Hmm, November was a little bit shit.
Just finished my last lot of night shifts for FOUR FLIPPING MONTHS though! Yay! I start a new job on Wednesday and there are no night shifts involved. I am going to be working Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day in A&E in Livingston, but at least I am going to get some time off over Christmas.
Anyway, I only ever seem to update this thing after I've just finished nights. After the last entry I slept for 18 hours straight, which might explain why I was feeling so whingey at the time of writing. This lot of nights hasn't been so bad. Highlight has to be the drunken idiot who presented having eviscerated a testicle whilst trying to climb over some railings. He kept a room full of bored doctors very amused with his comedy awful pelvic x-rays on an otherwise fairly grim and horrendously busy Friday night.
Despite having finished this job, I still have a load of crappy assessments to get signed off by people before I can move onto my next post. This is proving difficult, as all the people are busy doctors who have forgotten they have agreed to sign things for me and I am going to have to spend today asleep and then I only have tomorrow to track people down and harrass them before it is new job time. Argh.
Dr. F, my insane educational supervisor is proving trickiest to get in touch with. I'm supposed to have had at least three meetings with him so far, but have only managed to actually have one, in which he asked me to sign a copy of his wife's passport and didn't chat much about supervising my education at all. All he told me re the passport was that earlier in the week he had suddenly become convinced he was about to die and had signed over all his money to his wife. Then they had had a row and now he needed photocopies of her passport signed by a medical professional. I didn't like to ask any questions. He then told me that he loved me and made me a cup of tea. He also asked me if there was any member of staff I wanted to voice a complaint about because he was "a very powerful and influential" man and could make bad things happen to bad people.
I feel my chances of getting my certificate of completion before the deadline are somewhat slim.
