Lady Sybil was having a quiet cup of tea in the kitchen when…

“Sybil! Where are my boots?” Sam demanded from upstairs.

“They’re in the closet, dear.”

“I meant where are my good boots!”

“Those are your good boots, dear.” It’s amazing how two people can attach radically different meanings to the same word. Sam defined good as ‘cheap cardboard wrecks just a small step up from walking around barefoot’.

A door upstairs was opened and then Sam swore quite loudly. Sybil smiled behind her teacup. Did he really think he could hide a cheap pair from her for long?
