progress!
last night walking home from a friends place at around 2 am, i passed by two guys in a minor fight in the street. one was hitting the other in the head and yelling something in portuguese. afraid that he was robbing the guy, I was about to cross the street, when suddenly i realized i could understand what he was saying: "me dê o pó!", or, "give me the coke!". an example of the informal imperative! my brain is finally adjusting! feeling much safer (i mean come on, dude just wanted his coke) i continued walking home.
