Olympics: News & Links

Feb 11, 2006 04:30

If I run across any random Olympics-themed links, I'll edit them into this post for at least the next few days and if anyone has any addresses that they'd like to add or share, you are welcome to use this post's "comments".
  • NBC announced this afternoon that they are going to webcast complete runs and routines for all Americans via their NBC Olympics site, but the videos will not be posted until after 11:30 EST on the day of the event. According to the article, the BBC is doing something similar, but I don't know about the rest of the world or what's available to the soldiers in the Mideast.

  • Popular blogger "Little Lost Robot" is participating in his station group's official blog, he's working the camera for Hearst-Argyle's coverage and his more laid-back, unofficial observations are available on his personal site.

  • The AP is also running some kind of blog, but I'm not sure if they're just going to keep appending or if there's some unknown address, where future updates will be made.

  • GE has a webcam pointed toward a sculpture they sponsored. Earlier it was working fine, but at this very minute, the camfeed seems to be experiencing difficulties.
