Wow...That is all I can say about this song. I've never really taken the time to sit and THINK about this song - to REALLY LISTEN to the lyrics and pay attention to them.
It's just amazing to me. To me it's about love, and someone needing the person they love *so* badly. It's as though loving that person is all they really have, all they really want, and all they've ever really longed for - maybe without even realizing it.
I love the part that says "You can stay and watch me fall, and of course I'll ask for help, Just stay with me now, take my hand."
I don't really know how to put into words how this song makes me feel, but to me it feels like the ulitimate description of being in love and needing someone as badly as you need to breath.
It's not a corny, flowered up song about being in love. It's real. And it's bittersweet.
It makes me think of my life right now.
Yea...things aren't the best they've ever been in a lot of ways, but at the same time I have this incredible person by my side to help me. He's there for me, and he's so amazing. I have no idea what I would do without him. Things are perfect in every way that really truly matters to me...I wish easier to remember that when I start to get upset. But even when I don't remember that, he's there. All I have to do is ask him for his support, or just some comfort and I'll have it.
"Just stay with me now, take my hand." That's all he ever does for me.
That phrase that says "And I'm melting in your eyes, Like my first time that I caught fire." I feel that way all the time. He's my first true love.
