Discovered in a Reporter's Notebook

I said there'd be a new challenge along shortly, didn't I...? *g*

Discovered in a Reporter's Notebook was suggested by jaycat92 and cornishcat, as inspired by the current and various goings-on of the press and media themselves - the downfall of The News of the Screws, and the uncovering of immoral, illegal, and unsanctionable practices within the media.

The lads are no strangers to the world of the press - Doyle has disguised himself as a reporter, Bodie has briefly passed himself off as a journalist (haute couture!) and Cowley regularly slaps on "D-notices" to stop them publicising information that would hurt CI5's work. The media must have worked with CI5 in Heroes - though clearly they also caused half the debacle in the first place by publishing names and addresses! Every now and then we see photographers and reporters crowding around - the sound of a D-notice biting the dust - and of course there was the potential media terrorisation of CI5 in The Rack...

So... given all the chaos and treachery that is associated with reporters and journalists - but given that they've also been known to use their power for people's good as well, or even given that Silly Season is pretty much upon us - what do you think is hidden away, just waiting to be discovered in a reporter's notebook...? As ever, stories etc don't have to be based around a reporter's notebook, anything that the theme inspires is welcome!

Speaking of being inspiring - the challenge banner and icon for Discovered in a Reporter's Notebook was made by cornishcat (thank you!), and who wouldn't be inspired just gazing at them there together...? *g*

If you'd like to join in the challenge, please feel free to post stories, drabbles, poems, pictures, vids and creations of all kinds anytime from now until the end of August in your time zone (and if you need a quick visit to Pago Pago, in the very last time zone of all, then do feel free... *g*). The trailer to use is on the User Info page - simply cut and paste it to the end of your story/creation, under a cut. If you'd like a prompt then please comment below requesting one.

So - would anyone like to play?
