(no subject)
I'm about 400 entries behind on my Friends page. One of my 108 New Year's Resolutions actually reads, "If you miss over 3 days' worth of Friends entries on Livejournal, don't spend the time it takes to catch up." Yes, friends, I am a big enough loser to make a resolution about Livejournal. Anyway, I guess I should honor the resolution and work on my other writing today instead of flipping through entries for hours.
Adam called me from work this morning while the Golden Globes were on in the good ol' Eastern Time Zone, and he held the phone up to the TV during Ricky Gervais's acceptance speech for winning Best Comedy Actor in The Office. There's no one in TV or movies right now that awes me in the way that Ricky Gervais does. I am so delighted that The Office and Lost in Translation won, though it gave the AP article the opportunity to mention the "American version" of The Office that's in the works. If it's anything like the 4-week debacle that was the NBC Coupling, I hope I'm still 7000 miles away from my American TV set when it happens.
A second, less silly, entry is in the works.
I found out last night that I'm actually banned from a bar in Tsudanuma where some of the Christmas Unpleasantness took place. I gave a misplaced, Bart Simpsonesque "coool" when I found out.
