this is the art on the walls of bc's house. it's tin foil! soooo cool!
this was the first act. johnny utah. they were pretty good. i liked their "put your dukes up" song the best.
"put your dukes up
yeah, buddy make a move
put your dukes up
yeah, buddy make a move
put your dukes up
yeah, buddy make a move
i got a chip on my shoulder, and something to prove"
cory tells me i got the lyrics wrong. *rolls eyes* what's new.
this dude calls himself breakdown. scrawny white dude, kinda awkward looking. he bobs his head really hard when he feels other artisits music. but he's an aweome lyricist. really. if he ever gets signed, check him out. good stuff. i liked his song, "i'm blazin'" best. pretty funny.
then people danced. bc's roomate danced like her body was made of water. and she wore this pink tank top that showed all her tattoos. i thought it was pretty. you can't see her because she moves so fast. but yeah. people dancing....
she's the blur.
anywho, on to cory's pictures. his stage name is effex by the way...yeah.
the guy behind his with the video camera is bc. the one hosting the shindig. really chill guy.
the black chick with the long hair with the video camera is the girlfriend of half of johnny utah.
after his set he brought up johnny utah and they freestyled to his beat. same with breakdown and bc. also some random audience guy and then some other drunk dude. that's the end of my pictures. an artist there gave us shirts. he's really good too. his work is at blankcartel.com. check him out. he's starting a clothing line, and we got free shirts yay! plus this vote guy out front gave me a blue wrist band that says 'wake up and vote! nov. 2' on one side and on the other it says 'vote democrat'. but i wear it on the first side when i wear it around co-workers. people can get real stuffy. all i heard on our way out the door (which took about 15 minutes. he kept getting stopped) was, "that was FUCKIN AWESOME man!" so it's all good. he had a great show and a great crowd for once. the crowd was so eclectic too. stoners, skaters, soccer moms, club kids, emos, scene kids, hip hoppers, rastas. all there. even chip and mike from borders wanted to go. which would be weird to see my manager at a hip hop house party outside of work. grocery store is cool. but yeah.
