I hated the heat
And I hated the sword

I am the ocean underneath the floor of this room
I asked all the questions out loud
and the felt the throb of my Balkan beat

Brothers and sisters my mother didn’t have
Scrape at my insides
Rebels and knives
In my mind
Ask for my identification
Ask for my re-definition

I am a revolt
In the riot of my gaze
In the hard core of my revolution

Feb8 8am
I have my revolutions in the shower
In early mornings
When I am naked
And I wish I didn’t have to be.
I am a revolutionist.

I read queer zines before I start my day
They are not my property
But left here by my best friend
He has queer right
We are the revolutionaries

I think about my power
Often it goes unnoticed
In this light
But I read my bibles
And listened to the hymns
And today is the day I lick clean my heart
And bare my chest
