Heaven's Lie

It was a surprise when Dean started asking for separate rooms but to Sam it only seemed to emphasize that Dean still didn’t trust him. He had seen Cas walk out of Dean’s room a couple times and all Sam could think was maybe he had done something to lose what little trust Castiel had in him when he was soulless or maybe it was to fix something he had done. All he knew was that once more he was out of the loop. As he saw Dean urgently pull Cas into his room he knew that once more he was somehow a liability.

When he had asked for separate rooms the first time he had seen the hurt in Sam’s eyes but it was better than seeing the disgust that he knew would be there when he pulled the Cas lookalike into his room.

The war was taking its toll. Castiel wondered if the souls would continue to be the effective power source they had been, losing the souls from the Titanic set back his plans to take back the gate from Raphael. With Peter guarding the gate once more the easy supply of energy was once more under lock and key. Having to kill Rachel was a devastating blow to his forces as well, but it was for the best, if she had told his soldiers what he was doing then he would lose what support we had. The more he thought about it the more he realized that Balthazar was the only real ally he had in Heaven at the moment. Balthazar was the one who had given him the information on how to use souls. That information had saved his life several times in the battles that had been happening lately.  With the battles happening so close together and the Winchesters needing his help with the Mother of All exhaustion seemed to be a constant feeling.

Sam prayed, he didn’t know why, just that God was out there and while he wasn’t answering maybe he would at least listen.

As he thrust into the man beneath him all he could think was that he didn’t have blue eyes, but getting him to wear the trench coat was worth it.
