smile smile smile! has such a great two days, without em starting so good.
saturday night sitting babysittin in these peoples house for 5 hours missing the off licences and not being happy at all. then going up to hackney rd (happy cos its so close!) to see the littl'ns who i wasn't too fussed about honestly, would have been the same set if only andrew aveling had played and it was a little pointless having to more people singing (tho the drums did add a nice extra layer). then wanting to go off and it taking 2 hours to round people up and eventually get most people back to charlies where crazy shit unfurled that i'm not gonna go into. ended up not sleeping because knew i had so much cleaning there was no point going to sleep just to wake up a few hours later so stayed up with charlie watching ab fab and drinking constant cups of tea, was lovely!
got home sunday started back on my room as soon as i got home and cleaned, scrubbed and sorted for 4 hours straight, working through the time i was gonna take a nap cos i hadn't finished (its still not finished now! this is deeeeeeppp stoof) only to find a load of washing was dry on the line and i had shitloadsa ironing. very late i worked well fast getting blisters on my hands but very pleased with myself until i COLLAPSED COLLAPSED cooollaapsed. i like felt my heart flutter double then tried to get to the couch to lie down but didn't make it and fell over i woke up bit later (not sure how long) and got to the couch where i woke up 50 mins later. NEVER clean too hard after no sleep. anyway i was still whacked and very late so ran out to go vicky park for the festival thing not understanding how i'd handle it and so not buying the planned 70 of vodka.
that was a HUGE mistake as as soon as i met with the girlies there (after some lost dead wandering) we found the tent name 'pussy parlour' at glasto and me and ash first shimmied to some soul and funk and then, as the djs changed, to 'studio 54'!!!! waahey! turns out i'd hardly stop dancing the whole time i was there.
we left to find the girls but on the way spotted A SWING RIDE!!!!!! you know the ones that go round and round and your on a little swing, they're my absolute favourite things in the universe!!! i love em so much, even as much as chocolate and socks that have been on the radiator. because i'd only bought fags i had money to spend and so we locked ourselves into the chairs and started to fly. i was in such a great mood, dancing to the pockets of music as i passed different stalls and tents reminded me of the better bits of glasto. we painted a heart on the wall thing and headed back to where we'd left everyone.
saw jem oli joel saam jake kieran etc... and said hey to everyone, though didn't really chat to many people much and hardly spoke to some people all day, then me and maeve went on the waltzer. sooooo much fun, i love funfair rides soooo much! maeve looked so happy i thought she was licked.
then we had a wander back towards the tent the others were playing in and whilst waiting for the end of soundcheck, danced to reggae type stuff in the tent next door and then to novelty type guitar players on the other side. the others were really REALLY blinding. seriously the best set i've seen em play in ages, dunno whether it was the smaller crowd or cos it was the london crowd and lotsa nutty people, but it was really good.
after the others everyone kinda dissapeared and there was a blank half hour of not much but then the tent started playing the kinda music i love and everyone else gets embaressed that i love (well some of that music). first they played tweet - oops oh my, then missy elliot, then what a man what a man what a man what a moneygood man, then more missy - funkyfreshdressed then toxic mixed with usher then omigod wuuu tang clan.
after that not much good happened till groove armada. running up with chairs so we could sit and watch, me and maeve found we couldn't and started raving BIG time. serious man it was so great, spinning jumping and dancing in the wind as the sun went down, my hair all over my face, sick beats and buzz gum was all too much we moved forward and stepped up the level. the sun went down and i could see the pink light of the stage through my hair, the set ended with fireworks and it was a brilliant end to a brilliant afternoon.
we went back to lanas, i was a little down cos it had been such a great day and now it was over i kinda needed a drink to either mellow or hyper up. whilst pondering over the day i also was realised from other peoples actions and behaviour how nice a person i and my mates are in comparison and how considerate we can all be of other peoples feelings. at first i was sad not everyones like this but then i was glad because i've waded through the shit and found gems (hehe and oli s).
also I GOT A JOB!! yay, washing up again, this time at the cafe in the arts centre where maeves mum works. that means i can go to reading, fabb.
