16 Days Left...
Today was a strange day. I got a return email from her and she invited me to go camping with her and a bunch of her friends next month. I would really love to go, but as things sit now, i am more worried about finding a place to crash. At least i have the open invitation to give her a call if i need to talk whenever i need to talk.
Things at work are still pretty strange, and i almost lost my job today!
Things are still up in the air with the DM managing the store up the hall after the firing of their manager. Our manager finally got reassurance that his job is safe, so at least he's happy. They are bringing in a manager from San Fran to take over for the old guy, but he is going to be an Area Manger. That's the position that MY manager applied for and basicly got shat on in regards to.
Today was pretty good sales wise. I made some okay commission and helped push the store over sales plan for the day and helped keep us afloat by way of the week. We are down pretty heavy for the month though, which is a bit shitty, but it's only a challenge for me. It's nothing i haven't helped us overcome in the past. But tonight was kind of freaky. I ended up losing my security badge while cleaning up the store! The thing about these badges is, you can NOT get ANYWHERE in the airport unless you have your I.D. badge. And they cost 100 dollars to replace. And since i parked in the employee lot, i could NOT have been able to get my truck out tonight! So i go in and start looking around for like 20 minutes, after having to turn the security alarm back off and everything. I end up calling my manager and am about to tell him that i screwed up and lost my badge and that i couldn't get home. And i was fully expecting to lose my job because the airport authorities get pissed when you cause a possibile security breech. So i hear my managers voice, and lower my head kind of depressed, and notice my badge baaaaarely sticking out from under the counter!!! Woah!!! Close call! But the boss man was cool and thanked me for calling to let him know that i had to turn the alarm off (they would report it to him in the morning anyway) and all was cool.
Now i am only hopeing that guy who came through the store today on his way to Las Vegas really DOES win millions and give me the 200,000 grand he said he'd give me for helping him out! Hahaha.
As for the Reds? They have an off day today before opening up a 7 game homestand. Four against Houston, then two against Chicago and they finish 2 more with Pittsburg.
