Top 10 Movies Of 2008

10. Burn After Reading.- I liked this movie okay. Brad + George & Frances McDormand were really good in it. It was quirky and cool. The main reason it is on my list is because of the day that I saw it. That day kind of changed my life.

9. 4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days. - It was recommended to me by a friend, and I am so glad that I decided to watch it. This is a movie of such intensity and rawness, no matter what your belief on the subject matter is, it really makes you re-examine your opinion.

8. Death Race. - This was a super action-packed movie. It was even a bit more violent than I expected. All that aside, the main reason why it is on the list is the hotness that is The Transporter aka Jason Statham.

7. Funny Games. - Both disturbing and intriguing, this movie left me feeling uneasy. But that is what this thriller was meant to do. I really believe that 80% of people that watch it will not like it. It’s one that you really love, or really hate.

6. Step Brothers. - Will Ferell movies never get old to me. This one is no exception. It’s so silly and childish, but that is what makes it so hilarious.

5. Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day. - I mainly went to see this movie just because of Lee Pace, but after watching it I was pleasantly surprised. It’s such a cute and light-hearted movie, and I just really like it a lot. Lee Pace did look SMOKIN’ in it too.

4. The Dark Knight. - I think that everything that could possibly be said about Heath Ledger’s performance has already been said. So I will just say that HARVEY DENT kind of changed my life. The Dark Knight was truly amazing.

3. Pineapple Express. - I didn’t expect to love this movie as much as I did. It was so hilarious! I really do think that it was James Franco’s best performance. Of all the Apatow movies (minus Superbad), this one is my favorite.

2. Iron Man. - I really was not expecting much from this movie either, but I was proven wrong. I think that this movie just showed everyone what I have known for years...that Robert Downey Jr. is where it’s at!

1. The Fall. - I first heard about this movie from Ebert & Roeper. Yet again, I mainly wanted to see it because of Lee Pace. I didn’t really know much about it, and it turned out to be so much more than I could have expected. It was one of the most beautiful/moving/touching movies that I have ever seen. I believe that it is a visual masterpiece and just visually stunning. When I made this list I had no doubt about what was going to be my number one. THE FALL. THE FALL. THE FALL!!!

*Take into consideration that I have yet to see Revolutionary Road, Milk, and The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button. I also want to see Frost/Nixon, but just because Sam Rockwell is in it.
