Valuable skills
I was out of work for a while when I emailed my resume to ACMT. I got a call back within two hours and got the job right away. Later, the person who hired me would say "I knew I had to hire you with a resume and skills like that". Since then, I've added more skills to that resume. Not that I'm going anywhere, but I learned more than I already knew making me a tad more valuable.
This Saturday, I'll be presenting a workshop at the Philly leather pride day of education. When I gave my profile info I got a response of "wow that's impressive credentials". Second time in a few months that I heard this and it's starting to sink in.
I have some valuable skills. I need to be confident in them and not under sell myself. I am trying to get better at this.
