[if you happen to be wandering near 1446 Mitchell Road, you will notice a thick, acrid plume of smoke rising from the backyard. perhaps someone is barbecuing a little too vigorously. ...or burning bodies.
the back gate is wide open, the fence is easy to peer over. do you investigate?]

Hao? That is you?

Ah, it's the little goddess.
[he reaches towards the fire, fingers skirting the flames to remove another charcoal-y fish-on-a-stick. mmm burnt protein.]
Hungry?

I have already eaten. I had just stopped by to make sure that nothing was aflame.

[the shaman smiles and shrugs in a 'suit yourself' fashion before brushing some still-red charcoal to the side to keep the remaining fish from burning.]
It's unfortunate that the yard isn't bigger yet, this fire is too small.
[...this being said despite the fact that it takes up a good portion of the backyard already.]

You would want the fire bigger?

[not so much an actual question as an are you serious? LOL sort of thing, but eh. at least he doesn't seem bothered by the campfire invasion.]

[heavy emphasis on 'for now'. he prods at the fire a bit more, watching from his zen place as the flames burn on.]
There are obstacles to be dealt with before anything can be done about it, anyway.

[his gaze raises briefly to the adjacent fence, which Kid had finished patching up again just a while back. crazy Russians and their crazy Soviet Mayfields. despite the words, however, he doesn't seem worried in the least.]

[There seems to be a lot of that going on around here.]

[because swinging around shovels and attempting to beat up the nice Angry German Lady =/= crazy]
Though it could be worse. A man ate his hand because of a simple food shortage, hm?
[scoff]
This city is saturated in pathetic examples of a pathetic race.

[Humans are weak, pah. Though she's not sure if she agrees 100% with the next part and shrugs.]
I do not know. I have actually met some admirable examples of the humman race while I have been here, I am surprise to say.

[at Persephone's second comment, a thoughtful expression temporarily replaces his perpetually amused one. he's not debating as to whether or not there are exceptions to the 'all humans fail' rule, though - he's debating how much respect (if any) a goddess who is even a tiny bit fond of their race deserves. after another moment, he shrugs the topic off, bright grin back in place.]
It's an inconsequential matter. Their race will end soon enough.

As stupid as they are, the world would probably be a much more boring place without them. Who would my kind toy with?

True, but it's easy to tire of them. All they do is fight and destroy - disgusting. How can a utopia be built with such parasites ruining the planet?
[and yep. he's all too serious about this. you just stumble across all the crazies, huh.]
