"Oh look! Water!"
~I had the weirdest day. It was one of those kind of days where the oddest things happen to you. I won't go into detail, but for the first time I felt like I was being hounded by the male species. It was a little surreal.
Anyways, this morning I had the pleasure of eating breakfast with 5 of my closest girls at Sara's Table (Holla Anders!) and then I went for a two hour walk in the scorching sun with my old Choralaire caroling partner. Mr. Dainish and I met at the Rose Garden and spent the next couple hours discussing school and our classes next year, this summer, his health, politics (yes and we're both still alive! lol), work (or in his case lack-of), the prestigious music teachers in Duluth, and of course the infamous Upton in the hottub picture story. We both had a good chuckle about that one.
(LIZ: This weather is good for you, Dain. You need to get off your lazy butt and get outside. Besides, the sun feeds you endorphins and endorphins make you happy!
DAIN: That is true and totally a line from Legally Blonde and we both know you wouldn't have known that fact if you hadn't seen that movie.
LIZ: Hey, will you at least try and pretend to humor me with my psuedo intelligence?
DAIN: Pssh, I never did before. *winks and smiles*
LIZ: *smacks him in the arm with water bottle...for old times' sake.*)
It was good to see him and talk with the guy. There was no pressure of school, choir or anything in the past making it awkward. I swear, we both sweated out the equivelant of both of our body weights. Oh, and I didn't put on any sunscreen so I look like a lobster now. Completely burnt to a crisp. Ouch.
The next 48 hours are going to be full of work and annoying little chores that need to get finished. But, as many other people have stated- 'oh how I love summer!' This weather is insane though! I often step outside and feel like I'm in California, not Duluth, Minnesota. It's so sunny, warm, and humid. What did we do to deserve this I don't know, but I'm lovin' it.
