~Hello hello everybody. You are talking to the the new East High scool graduate. Well, it will be official after this Wednesday. =)
The past 3 and a half days have been stacked full of friends and good times to end the school year. My good friend Jill and I went to Marshfield, WI right after school got out on Friday to visit a long-time friend and be with her for her grad party. The 3 ofus have known each other since 5th grade at Ordean and have remained very close since. It was nice for the 3 of us to just hang out together again. We went in the hot tub, drove over to Dominoes and got pizza, and gossiped until we all fell asleep around 1 AM. Her grad party was the next day (Saturday) and Jill and I stayed for the first bit of it and decided to head back to Duluth after multiple people we didn't know started showing up. We love you Alyce! Congrats!!
Saturday night consisted of Hacienda food and movie-watching with Jill, Jeff, and Teebs. National Treasure- very good, The Beach- eh, not my favorite. At least I gave it a shot.
Driving Tom home around midnight was a very scary experience. It was the thickest fog I have ever seen and it rolled along the surface of the street like some scary movie. I drove fairly slow.
Sunday at church, my dad preached for the last time in Duluth (& at Pilgrim) and it was also the week for High School Graduate Recognition. Then, Manda and I went "grad-party-hopping". Our first day was a lot of fun. We hit up 3 people's parties and got absolutely drenched driving home after the third one. A storm set in and IT WAS BIG. Cracking thunder, sharp lightning, pounding, pouring rain- the whole shibang. Manda was driving and was very very nervous. I, however, being the complete dork that I am, enjoyed getting soaked and had a grand time laughing at her. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Let's just say my bladder wasn't prepared for that.
That night, I had one final hoorah with 13 people who've made my year beyond fun and worthwhile. (of course, 2 very important members could not be there too, but their presence was there.) In short terms, lots of food was eaten, lots of crafts were made, and a lot of laughs were had. It's amazing how well we all get along. Thank you to Allie for lending us your house and food for the night. We had a ball.
This morning was fine, but let's just say giving 4 already directionally-challenged Sopranos wrong directions is not a way to make nice with us. Oh well, we eventaully split up, found all the girls and got down to the pier. After that, fatigue hit me like a brick wall.
It's werid being done, but I'm ending it with all of my friends and making great memories, so I can't complain.
SCHOOL'S OUT FOR THE SUMMER!
