(no subject)
The vaccines are here. This is not meant as news, but rather a simple fact I am dealing with. We all are. Yes, I will definitely take the vaccine once I am able. No doubt. But... I really don't want to go back to work.
Like a lot of people I've been working from home for almost a year. And really I'm incredibly fortunate to be able to do that. I am very aware that many people lost their jobs and incomes and are struggling. I get that.
But at the same time I really hate my office. And the thought of going back there soon (maybe May, maybe June) is a really stressful thought. It also has me considering looking for a new gig.
My current job pays the bills and has good benefits. That's it though. My bills are paid, with little left over. And there's absolutely nothing fulfilling about this. I've been there since 2009. It's a long time to not be fulfilled.
Working at home has been great. But the clock is running out.
