Recap: Woo hoo! A winning streak!
Anyway, this was a good, hard fought game. It ended with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh on a ground ball up the middle which, if Eric doesn't get to, probably ties the game. So now we've won a big one and a close one. Unfortunately now we're off for a month and a half and are losing two of our best outfielders in January, but oh well. It seriously has been a lot more fun just because of the last two games.
Defensively, this game was boring. Caught a popup between first and the pitchers mound, had fewer than normal plays coming to first, so I was mainly backing up and the like.
My hitting wasn't the greatest. I came up with the bases loaded in the first inning and two outs. The first pitch was pretty outside, but I thought I could push it into right field and went for it. Wound up popping it behind second and flying out. Popped up the second pitch I saw in my second at-bat. Ran for Jeff both times and wound up scoring on one of them. I finally got good contact on my third at-bat, singling into center and scoring the runner from third.
Summary: It's going to be weird coming back in January, but I'm really looking forward to it. Hopefully we'll maintain the momentum and be able to make up for our losses.
