Summary: Ran is still uneasy after speaking with Heiji over the communicator. She's waiting for both Adam and him to return, not very patiently.
The Log:
It'd been at least twenty or thirty minutes since she'd hung up on that call with Heiji, reluctant though she was to do so. Plenty of time for her to panic and dig through their supplies, seeing if she could find something, anything food/drink wise that she could prepare for whenever they got back.
It's what she does best, really, and she manages to prepare some boiled rice with a few assorted vegetables, and a pot of hot tea. Both light and easy on the stomach, which she suspects is what they need after whatever happened out there.
There isn't much of it, really; their supplies somewhat limited, but there's at least enough for them to get through the meal--hopefully recovering some before having to go out and get more.
Ran hears the door just then, and excitedly, she leaves the tea and the food heating as she dashes to greet them,
"Finally!"
...it seems there's only Adam to greet her back, though she is no less happy to see him.
