Let's reflect on America's past behavior to determine whether he has been using his breaks for food and rest: his first winter in Discedo, he keeled over from a mixture of pneumonia and starvation after running food to his citizens non-stop. When Canada was possessed by a demon, he puked a goddamn polar bear and didn't rest until he blew up said demon with a rocket launcher. And let's not forget his usual 'I'll fix it later' method of dealing with his wounds.

That is to say, America was being fueled purely by his own glory. Yes.

Japan was wrong about one thing, at least. America didn't spot Tatsumi. It's hard to see with water all over your glasses and exhaustion pressing at your eyes. But when he called out, America's head whipped around until he spotted the figure below.

A pressing urge to say something epic rose in his chest, yet his mind blanked. What he said instead was much more desperate and predictable than America would have liked.

"TATSUMI!"

What a waste of a perfectly good thunderstorm. Really, he's going to have to redeem himself for this embarrassment. He couldn't help it, really. Stress and warring emotions over this entire situation had worn him down to the point where he simply couldn't enter a scenario with a quote worthy of Hollywood.

WOW THIS TAG IS GETTING LONG AND SO FAR HE HAS ONLY SAID ONE THING let's fix that. America looked around for a way to get down quickly, and seeing none, the most logical solution was to just shout down to the werepire.

"Babe! Ya okay?! We're here to help!"

Th rain really brought out the smell of some things and yet covered the scent of others. Had Tatsumi not just puked up blood, perhaps he would have caught onto America's familiar scent before Japan shouted to him. Tatsumi's heightened hearing picked up on Japan's voice, so by the time he turned around, he was smiling at his name being desperately called.

Red eyes focused on the countries, more so on America. This is exactly what he needed. America always had abundant amounts of blood. Japan was with him too, maybe he could even try his blood too. Tatsumi had been curious for a while.... then again America might get upset, but that particular thought didn't stay too long him the werepire's conscious. With a not-quite-right grin Tatsumi salutes up to his boyfriend, "Ya! I'm cool!! Ya came at just the right time!! I'm starvin!"

Another flash of lightning before cracks across the sky just as Tatsumi finishes his hello, emphasizing on the fact he is starving. How poetic... or something.

Japan frowns down at Tatsumi. Something about that grin just isn't right, and it's really not surprising. The nation brings a cautious hand to the hilt of his sword, not moving his eyes from the werepire.

"Remember that I am trusting you, America-san," he speaks just loud enough for the other country to hear. Right. This plan... wasn't one he was fond of. But he was hoping it would work.

"Oh, freaky demon eyes," is the highly intelligent observation America mutters to Japan. "And that don't sound good."

Proper grammar is of zero concern to America at the moment. He frowns as he stares down at Tatsumi. It hurts. It's one thing to have the idea in your mind that someone you love (oh, and America has indeed accepted that he's head-over-heels, embraced it as essential to his life as freedom and air and drugs) has inexplicably starting hurting people. It's not a far stretch for America to accept it either. But to see the proof, it's like the final nail to the coffin-

America doesn't want to think about coffins right now.

...Even though Tatsumi is a vampire. (America sleep-deprived mind makes a note to ask Tatsumi later why he doesn't sleep in a coffin.

Then again, America doesn't want to make love in a coffin. Gross. It'd probably smell like formaldehyde.

Oh right he's in the middle of something. Shit he needs sleep.)

America nods at Japan. Right. Japan is trusting him not to fuck this up. May as well demonstrate his capabilities with the aforementioned epic speech. He holds up an index finger to both Tatsumi and Japan, telling them to wait a moment, cocks his head, and waits a few long seconds. Then... it's show time.

"Tatsumi! I know you're werepire-crazy now, and I want you to know no matter what, I love you! That said..."

Time for a very heroic stance and huge grin backlit by a flash of lightning.

"COME AT ME BRO.

COME AT ME."

He then jumps down off the highway--yes, this is possible, this is Hetalia, the canon where countries walk on water and have random rock ballads to aliens--and his landing is accompanied by an equally epic crack of thunder. This is what hegemony is made of. THIS RIGHT HERE. HE IS AMERICA AND

and he's slipping a little in the mud whoops. Trying to get his footing now.

Tatsumi's eyes light up as America taunts him to come at him. Forget feeling sick, suddenly the werepire's blood is racing with excitement, more so than anything else. He has had some really good fights these past couple of days but to fight with America somehow felt ~special~

The werepire speeds across the mud to meet his lover, jumping not with arms open wide but with a firm knee to the other's lower chest.

"With pleasure!!"

This is accompanied by some laughter, evil laughter.

Not nearly as flashy as America, Japan watches for a moment from his spot. At least with that sort of energy, it was less likely that he'd have to worry about anything going wrong. Well-- anything going wrong with America's motivation, that is. It was America who was the 'hero' after all...

It's at Tatsumi's laughter that he jumps down to join them, landing a lot more gracefully than his hetalia partner over there, thank you very much. But he doesn't move any further just yet, eyes locking on the other two.

Half of this game was waiting.

Half of this game is FUCK YOU TATSUMI. Here is where America could launch into many raunchy jokes, but he's a little too busy being kneed in the gut.

It's relatively easy to ignore the evil laughter when you're busy being winded. But does it slow him down? Hell no. AMERICA WILL JUST STRAIGHTEN BACK UP AND DELIVER A PUNCH TO THE RIBS WITH THE FORCE OF A WRECKING BALL. IF TATSUMI WERE A BLOB ALIEN, HE WOULD SURELY GO FLYING IN THE AIR. GOING LIGHT ON TATSUMI? NO WAY, MAN. HE IS A WEREPIRE AND HE CAN ENDURE THE FURY OF AMERICA'S FISTS OF JUSTICE. CAPSLOCK.

Before he delivers another punch, America stops himself. He's not supposed to win this fight. It's not losing if you don't intend to win shut up. Instead, America sticks to more evasive maneuvers. He just has to entice Tatsumi into biting him. Maybe a smug grin will help.

Japan's presence is noted as he jumps down. Tatsumi's ears catch the light sound he makes among the mud and rain when he lands. At the same time, the werepire goes to block America but a few of his ribs snap instead. Not even a second later, light specks of blue light, like sparkles, surround Tatsumi as his regeneration kicks in, thanks to Marco's blood.

Sparkles or broken rubs, neither doesn't stop Tatsumi and he comes right back at America, attempting to tackle him into the ground as a show of his returned strength. it was like a bro-hug but... much more powerful and probably would kill a normal human.

Just standing there would be suspicious indeed. And he didn't want to be unarmed, so he unsheathed his sword, frowning as he watched. How much could he get away with before jumping in, as well? He didn't want to hurt if it wasn't necessary, but he really didn't like this idea of baiting...

And it was only obvious if he stood there!

That not!bro-hug distracted him from his thought, though, and he stared to see if America would handle it alright. If not... Well, he was ready.

Luckily, America isn't broken by the hug, but boy is surprised when it hurts. Really hurts. He doesn't bother to hide the surprise on his face as his back smacks against the ground, nor the hurt as he stares up at Tatsumi.

"Tatsu, c'mon, please. You remember me, right? Remember how we..."

He can't even finish the sentence. His voice catches. If it weren't raining, it might be easier to see if he's tearing up or not.

HAHAHAHAHAHA JUST KIDDING. HE ACTUALLY DIDN'T FINISH HIS SENTENCE BECAUSE HE JUST DELIVERED A HEADBUTT TO TATSUMI'S FUCKING FACE.

YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY GOOD ACTOR IN THIS RELATIONSHIP, DOUCHE BAG. THE EMOTIONS MAY BE REAL BUT SO IS THIS TRIUMPHANT LAUGHTER.

No wonder they work together.

totallygaaay May 11 2011, 07:12:39 UTC
So kidding about them working together as Tatsumi was JUST ABOUT TO HEADBUTT AMERICA WHEN HE GETS HEAD-BUTTED HIMSELF!

"SHIT!" Tatsumi hisses, but like a snake he snaps forward with his fangs and bites America... while he begins to sparkle again. THE MAGIC~!

The scent and near taste of blood brings the werepire to squeeze his grip along the country's sides. He gets one taste before he violently pulls away, scraping a part of America's flesh and tearing his clothing with him. He couldn't suck his blood! not now! Now in the heat of battle!! He wanted to fight a real fight. An epic brawl with his lover unlike anything they could achieve in bed.

So, The other Stumbles off, pulling America up by his collar... and actually being able to LIFT him!! That'll be handy for love making if tomorrow ever comes.

At that bite, Japan wonders if it would be over right there. But the pulling back wasn't expected, and he gets angry, holding his sword properly. SORRY AMERICA. You know that plan where you take him down and Japan waits to chain him. IT IS BEING EDITED...

Just as Tatsumi moves to lift America by his collar, Japan comes in from the side, slicing at the side of Tatsumi's arm near his shoulder.

America is a little too distracted by the sparkling to even notice the bite. Maybe he's just immune by now. He's been bitten so many times, the sting of fangs at his throat doesn't even faze him. The flesh being taken off said throat is a new twist, however, and causes America to yelp. If only the sparkles could heal him too!!!

As he's lifted in the air, the thought crosses his mind that Tatsumi might actually be a fair match to America. Huh. This is a new one. (Well, no, he'd stand no chance against America were he home with his army and whatnot, but on an individual basis--being matched with Alfred, whatever you want to call it--they may actually compare in strength.

Sadly, America's rational fear meter had been broken long ago. Now he's just excited at the possibilities. ...And, okay, he might be a little excited to see how this fight actually turns out. What can he say? War games can be fun.)

But then, no, there's no expected kick or punch to any part of his body because Japan just got in on this action. America can see the fire in the other country's eyes.
I WILL FEEL HIS BLOOD ON MY HANDS! TONIGHT!
    ~Japan
America lands smoothly on his feet. All the exhaustion, all the hunger has been washed away by pure adrenaline. Amphetamines might make this easier but hey, what can you do.

For one thing, America can not leave Tatsumi much time to fight back and shoot him in both his knees. .06 second quick draw, baby.

All things considered, Tatsumi should have been able to avoid Japan.... if he hadn't forgotten the other was there while dealing with his inner thoughts and struggling against his blood lust.

As quickly as he received the cut, the sparkles are back to heal it. Tatsumi's face opens up to surprised as HOLY SHIT. MY KNEE CAPS!!!

The werepire begins to collapse, but on his way down he makes sure to send a powerful punch at the his lover's neither region with nothing but a big grin on his face. ITS OKAY, THOUGH, RIGHT?! AT LEAST THERE ARE SPARKLES!!!

NOOOOO FLORIDAAAAAAAA.

By which I mean, Japan is still relatively close. And both concerned for America and annoyed that he's being ignored, he will step in!! Almost literally. He aims a kick for the arm that sent that punch, WHETHER HE DOES SO IN TIME OR NOT IS UP TO YOU, and then moves his sword for another attempted slice down at Tatsumi. DAMN THESE SPARKLES.
