Yusei is the mastermind behind everything ever

Even though it's the middle of the day and the place is crawling with people, Yusei has somehow managed to make his way down to the basement power lines. It seems growing up in the slums has at least a few advantages

Marco approves of all of this for several reasons. First and foremost, it makes barreling in through windows a lot more fun. Luckily, remembering that he doesn't have hid devil fruit, or a certain diamond brother to use as a battering ram, he's mostly just trying to bash the windows in with a duffel bag of guns, fire extinguishers, and occasionally he's still forced to use phoenix!kicking, without the phoenix part. Basically his legs and pants are going to be a bit torn up by the time anyone finds him. The price of anarchy.

Secondly, without his devil fruit, Marco's no longer a flaming beacon, unless he actually lights shit on fire. It's fun being sort of, not really at all, but he thinks so, stealthy-ish. And that way if Ace sets fire, Ace will be nice and easy to find.

Anyone in a windowed room might want to duck.

Good thing we're all wearing shoes

There was a window smashed right near Yusei's position, and he instincually ducks and covers his head. One of the shards slices his pant leg and leaves a shallow cut there. Not serious, but not fun.

Yusei looks up as the dust clears.

"Marco."

Except Marco XD He wears sandals OOPS

"Yo!" Marco stood up and simply held up an arm, and then completely ruined the effect by swearing and pulling out little glass shards from his leg. Where was a fifteen foot tall diamond brother when you needed him? Really.

"Did you get the map from Sollux okay?" he asked in the midst of hopping carefully on one foot and pulling glass out of his leg.

Sandals are totally the best thing to wear for rescue missions

"Yea." He pulls out his phone and brings up the map. "It was helpful."

He looks at Marco. "Are you okay?"

Obviously XD He can't help it. Normally he needs his toes free to be talons

"Yeah fine," Marco grunted irritably as the last shard was placed somewhere out of the way, covered in his blood and DNA evidence that the pirate didn't even know was a problem. "Just not in the right body for this." Because that explained everything.

Oh well, the knowledge that Marco wasn't usually so human might explain some of his exacerbated feelings of kinship with everyone who wasn't so human themselves.

I see. Makes me wish I knew the canon better *hasn't watched One Piece in years orz*

Yusei doesn't really understand that statement, but now isn't really the best time to be asking questions, now, is it?
He's just gonna nod and go with it.

"How're things going so far? I just cut the power and phone signals."

"Oh good, eh?" Marco shrugged, not understanding what Yusei meant, but picking up that it sounded like he cut off their chances to ask for help. What with the fire he set next door, this would give them enough time to run for it.

"Next door is on fire, should distract the help."

"Make sure it doesn't spread." Yusei said determinedly. "Even if this world isn't real, let's try to avoid harming anyone innocent."

A small nod. He didn't care too much since as far as Marco the pirate was concerned, the government put them all at risk anyway, but he wasn't a total sociopath. They didn't let their wars effect the uninvolved. "Don't sorry, it's an abandoned area, the only way an innocent would get hurt is by rushing in there." And they'd have to be very stupid. "And there's nothing largely combustible to make it suddenly flare from a wind shift." Who said you couldn't be a logical anarchist?

"Alright then." he said, satisfied. "Has everyone who needs rescueing been rescued?"

"Beats me," Marco shrugged and pointed at the window. "I just got here." Mostly. Aside from the other windows he'd crashed through and so forth.

"Come on, let's go find them, eh."

"Right." he nods, starting off in the direction of the non-human ward.

Marco tagged along, but as they came to a corridor he gestured. "You take the right, I'll take the left." He was pretty sure Eridan would be under tight security towards the left, so that was where he intended to go.

He nods. "Be careful. See you later."
Yusei takes off down the hall and doesn't look back. There's surely only a little time left to get their friends and get out.
