He knew that the Tenth would rather have him stay inside with him where it was (relatively) safe, but Gokudera just couldn't sit still in their apartment. Not with all the noise outside and the panic messages being posted one after another over the network. There was news of an attack from some horrid creatures he was yet to get a good description or video of, some people have been killed already, and residents were being evacuated out of Marshall and Latimir. Horton was safe for now, but there was no knowing for how much longer it would stay that way.

Gokudera couldn't, wouldn't, just sit around.

He couldn't use Sistema CAI because of his chip, but he still had his dynamites. Arming himself with as much of them as he could carry--and he could carry a lot, he wasn't known as 'Hurricane Bomb' for nothing-- Gokudera left the apartment to make sure none of those creatures got too close to their building. He would make sure Tenth stayed safe no matter whatIt didn't take long before Gokudera stumbled upon the Spawn. And luckily for him,

This was not the best "welcome back" present Cuddy could have received.

She had no idea what was going on-- the networks were panicked, as were the hallways and streets, and these... things were attacking right and left. There had been plenty of times in the city that Cuddy had wished for superpowers of some sort, but never as much as now. What she wouldn't give to be able to blast these little monsters out of existence for good.

... Kind of like that man about twenty feet down the hall was. They were attacking back somehow, true, but that didn't change the fact that sticking by someone who could fight was pobably her best chance of survival.

"Excuse me!" Cuddy called, running down the hallway towards him.

Gokudera's eyes widened at the sound of her voice, and he turned towards it to find a woman running towards him. Out in the open. Luckily for her the Lava Spawn had ceased its attack, but still--

"What the hell?!" the dynamite expert exclaimed in Japanese, lunging forward and grabbing the woman's wrist to pull her into cover with him. This pile of rubble probably won't be able to shield them for very long though.

"What do you think you're doing here?!" he hissed at her, not noticing the fact that she wasn't Asian, much less Japanese, or the fact that she was a doctor. He did know that she was the non-fighter type though, and should be fucking anywhere but near these creatures.

"I have no idea what you're saying!" Cuddy yelled back, allowing herself to be dragged. The language he spoke sounded familiar-- Chinese? Japanese, maybe?

"Do you speak English?" she asked hopefully.

Yuugi felt awful.

All he could do was watch from Bakura's window. He had stopped in gathering supplies for everyone, but ended up glancing toward the sounds of explosions and screaming. Cautiously, he approached the window, and watched everything outside with silent horror, a hand lightly touched to his mouth to in shock.

"This is horrible.."

His other hand rested gently on his puzzle, though he didn't glance down at it. He couldn't. There was spawn coming close, too close to Horton now. It was like they were seeking to keep them off the streets, only to corner them and target them all at once.
