I'll tell you who I am in person. Ken knew better than that, but he couldn't help but be curious as to the identity of the mysterious person who had been texting him. Sure, they'd been helpful-but that didn't mean much.
Ken knew better than that.
But not knowing... he knew better than that, too. Better to know than to-he shook his head. Just because he had agreed to meet whoever outside his apartment didn't mean he had to be stupid about it. He hadn't exactly told Yukari-san, okay, but he had his own plan: put his spear just inside the door, so it'd be easy to grab, put his evoker at his waist. Even if it didn't work here-he was pretty sure pointing what looked like a gun at someone would at least buy him some time.
Besides... how much more difficult could an ordinary human be to fight than a Shadow? People on TV did it all the time. Assuming it even came to that. No matter how hard he tried, though, he couldn't come up with a less drastic idea. If it was just a shy person, they wouldn't want to meet at all, right?
He slipped out of the apartment quietly as possible, and moved away from the door, to the next apartment over, before settling against the wall to wait.
