Summary: Flandre has snuck out of the library again and is wandering around.
the log:
Outside, again. The sun was peeking through the clouds in a few places, but there were enough shadows around that walking around outside wasn't stressful. The sun was properly over there where it couldn't reach her.
It was getting cold, too. Maybe it would...snow? She was both hopeful it would and hopeful it wouldn't; if it was really just frozen rain, she would be miserable. It was also something new--and this fascinated her.
But it was not snowing now.
Flandre's wings chimed a little bit as she walked, like a bell on a cat that prevents it from killing any birds. She was walking on the edge of the sidewalk where it dropped off into the street as if it were a balancing beam, one foot in front of the other and her arms stuck out.
And, she was singing.
"Passe, passe, passera
La dernière, la dernière
Passe, passe, passera,
La dernière restera.
Qu'est-ce qu'elle a donc fait
La petite hirondelle?
Elle nous a volé
Trois petits grains de blé.
Nous la rattraperons
La petite hirondelle,
Et nous lui donnerons
Trois petits coups de bâton..."
The little vampire's voice trailed away, and her face turned thoughtful in expression.
"What are they passing by? Who would be the last?"
Flandre's voice slipped into English again as she began to talk--to herself, no less. The voices seemed to be in slightly different tones, and very different languages. Her thoughts seemed centered on the song.
"If there was only one person, they would be first and last at the same time, so what would happen then? If the last one can't go by, the first one can't continue. Would they split into two?"
"Then there would be two; two half-people."
She frowned.
"...now we're thinking in circles."
"Maybe that's what it means by 'will not pass'?"
