Bakura looked up from what he'd been writing, attention instantly drawn to the door as such. Safe to say, he hadn't expected any company at this time-- but no matter, he certainly didn't mind it in the least. Putting his pencil down on his paper, he stood and made his way to the door, wondering just who could be deciding to pay him what was to be hopefully to be an amiable visit.

He opened the door a fraction, peering outside; and all previous wariness disappeared.

"Oh, hello Miss Lillet!" And cue a friendly grin, his demeanor brightening. He openeds the door wider, wanting to be hospitable, and at the very least inviting - a bit different from when she'd first dropped by.

She returned the smile along with a small curtsy.

"I hope I'm not running too late, I hadn't realized the clock in my room had stopped. You said come at elven so..."

Lillet stepped in at the invitation and offered up the cookies. "I'm sorry, I'm carrying on. Here, I brought these as a gift. There was apparently some sort of holiday."

She had no idea what it was, but it was generally acceptable in her world to give presents on any given holiday. Or food.

Hastily, he bowed a bit as well- was that normal in her world? It'd only seem polite to return it, after all, so. He straightened, hearing her words but not quite registering them; did he now? At eleven? When did he...? --But was distracted from the thoughts upon the offer of the snacks.

"Ah-- thank you very much!" He accepted the bag of them gratefully, shifting to hold them in the crook of his arm as he shut the door behind her with a small click. Someday, he'd figure how to fix its lock- not that he needed it at the moment, but privacy was always a nice thing to have; something he took for granted back at home ( ... )

"You're very welcome."

For a moment, she stood in silence, not sure what next to say. Using the brief pause as an excuse to look around what was visible of his apartment, her eyes eventually settled on the miniatures.

"You really keep things very neat. It's nothing like my little place. Are those the little dolls you were working on last night?"

She made to move for them but stopped herself. It really wasn't a good idea to just barge around someone's place. The miniatures were really quite magnificent pieces of work. It was a little eerie how real they were, but Lillet wouldn't say that.

Upon seeing her look a bit lost as to what to do next, he thought of how rude this must seem to her: not being showed in properly, forgetting they even planned for her to come over, being unable return even a gift (on what was previously a holiday, no less!), but.. "Oh, right, um-- Feel free to make yourself at home..! I'd enjoy the company." Truthfully. And really, it was the least he could do.

Though, last night? Well, he had been working on them yesterday, but- perhaps he'd left the communicator on at that time..? Nonetheless, it was an innocent enough question, and he wouldn't mind her looking or touching them, either. In reply, he strode over to the desk and picked up one of the finished (meaning, the paint was dry) and more familiar ones of his friend, Jounouchi.

"These? Yes, I... have been working on them quite a bit."

Oh dear... he certainly was easily flustered. It probably didn't help that she was kind of awkward around people her age. She does make a visible effort to at least relax a little, reminded of Margerita's sound advice to not 'be so damned proper', and she smiles trailing after him.

"They're for that roleplaying game you told me about, right?" She looked at the miniature. It didn't seem to have any strange runes or anything on it to indicate that it was anything more than just a work of skilled craftsmanship. "Who's this?"

"Yes, they are..." His voice trails off as his gaze shifts to look at the little figure in his hand. He turns it over, seeming to study it absentmindedly, as he ponders over her words. He'd told a lot of people of Monster World and its variations, as well as discussing games with her, so..

"It's my friend, Jounouchi.. He doesn't remember me, though..." He turns it over, looking at its base, checking to see if the paint had cracked or not. And, despite the slightly morose indications of the latter sentence, he looks back up at he with a smile on his face.

"...You can touch them if you'd like, you know."

As he turned the figure over in his hand, Lillet couldn't help but to truly sympathize. She looked on, silent for a moment but met his smile with one of her own.

"He may not remember now, and that must be hard..." Unbearably hard. "But you can make new memories with him, I'm sure."

She did pick up one of the unpainted models, turning it over carefully. "You're really talented and kind, I'm sure he'd be happy to be friends with you again."

"Oh, um, it's okay... I think I just dwell on it too much." Only that, Jounouchi was the first to talk to him in the new school, and ask him to sit next to him, introduce him to everyone else.. Though, what she said next was very true: The new memories would be even nicer, he was sure. At one point he was perhaps glad that Jou didn't remember some aspects of him; namely to do with the replica figure he now held in his hand. But he told himself that wasn't his fault, and something like that would never happen again.

And now, he found himself blushing a bit at the praise; it was only a hobby, after all. "Thank you, that's very kind of you to say."

"It's a good attitude to have. It must be hard, when someone doesn't remember you. Especially someone you care for." Her expression seemed distant for only a brief moment, as if recalling something.

How many times had she had to introduce herself to some of her teachers? To her classmates? ...To Amoretta?

Whatever Ryou was feeling right now, she hoped that he only had to feel it once.

"And it's not kind, it's just true. I'm a little jealous that you have such a talent!" She beamed, and, not finding anything discernibly odd about the figure, she set it down gently.

Miss Lillet was really very nice, even if she just called it being truthful. Bakura rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, trying to think of what to say to that; but, didn't want to linger on it too much. He turned from her briefly, plopping the bag of cookies down on his pillow, making a mental note to get something in return for her, and looked back to her.

And he'd never thought of it as such, it was only a hobby that had allowed him to get a lot of practice before. Though, knowing of her magic, and how intelligent she seemed to be, it was difficult to grasp that she'd say she would actually be jealous of him..

"Heh, no need to be so.. I mean, I could try to teach you, if you'd like..."

She did envy his creative talent. She was fine at drawing runes, but she really couldn't do something genuinely artistic. When Ryou spoke, Lillet looked up from the models, puzzled for a moment, but her expression eased into a smile.

"I'd like that. I promised to teach you some of the basic runes I know too, didn't I?" She patted her schoolbag where she kept her lower level grimoires. The more powerful ones were kept hidden in her room from prying eyes. "I mean, for if you get your chip out. It's just small stuff, but it could be handy."

He blinked at her, eyes following when she patted her bag, then back to her. Really? Well, that certainly would be useful... knowing a bit of it, if he was even able to use magic like that. Sure, he knew he held some spiritual power and all, but.. Would he really be capable of that?

"Um... What will I be able to do, exactly, if I learn them?"

Lillet shrugged a little.

"Well, I'm not very good at summoning things," She said, looking down at her feet, mostly because she felt bad about outright lying. "But you could call up some elves or make a hommunculus to help with chores around your house. Who knows, if we work really hard together, we may even be able to summon a unicorn!"

Of course, this would have to wait until both their chips were out, but that was a given. Maybe if she could test Ryou with a few runes, she could get an idea of how powerful he was, if there was any power there to get an idea of.

He may just be crazy. It was hard to tell.
