Haru got bored after a while since Rin had left, and he had left his other friends to go wandering. He wondered if he would see her around town or if she even had taken his jacket with her. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and just continued to kick at the snow as he let his feet take him to his next designation. It was pretty cold outside and without something to cover up with it was even more chilly.

As he wandered he thought to himself 'I hope I can convince her once more... She really is a stubborn one.'

Rin ran her fingers through her hair while she was walking. She continued trudging down Latimir street. She wondered long it had been since she had left. Any normal person would have been wondering if anyone cared if they were gone, however she knew that no one cared. She was just a waste of a person. I'm better off dead now, she thought to herself.

She heard something nearby her. A familiar sound of snow crunching; something that she had to hear since she left. Could it be Haru?

Rin stopped and turned her head to the direction of the sound. That couldn't be Haru... She thought as she squinted her eyes for a clearer view. Whatever was coming towards her, was definitely not a person.

Maybe she went back to sen-- no she wouldn't go back willingly he thought to himself walking a bit faster. He had no idea of her intentions or where she would run to, but he told himself he wouldn't go back inside until he found her. It just wouldn't be right if he left her out here alone, it went against everything Haru felt.

He pulled his hands out of his pockets and began rubbing his arms a bit to get a little warmed. He was being more observant than usual looking if Rin were hiding in any small spot.

Rin stepped a few steps back instinctively. The puppet-like monster looked dangerous. Behind it were two others. At every 'step' that the marionettes took, the stronger the sinking feeling she felt in her stomach. One of the puppets raised up its spindly wooden arm and swung something towards her.

She jumped back in surprise when she heard a metallic thud behind her. Rin looked down to see a large rip in her hospital gown. She held her breath as she looked back up towards the marionettes. They were close.

Regardless of how she felt about her own well-being, she unconsciously turned around and started to run.

Haru being a bit close to Rin, heard a loud thud like noise. He thought it sounded a bit off and needed to go check it out. Maybe something wrong happened. He was sick of not being able to help the people he considered close. With that last thought he started running towards the loud noise not knowing what he was getting himself into.

Visible puffs of air escaped her lips at every breath she took as she ran. The last thud she heard seemed to be the last. Perhaps she outrun them? She wasn't sure. She didn't want to look back. All she wanted to do was run.

... Wha- Rin wondered if her eyes were deceiving her. She couldn't have just run past Haru. He should have been staying home, or... Why was he there? She slowed down, and while stopping, she glanced at Haru for just a quick second before looking back. Her chest heaved back and forth as she tried to get her breaths back to normal.

Haru skidded to a halt and whipped his head around. He stopped immediately because he swore he saw Rin's long silky hair passing him as he ran. When he looked to see who it was, it really was her. He was happy that the loud thudding noises didn't do any harm to her and sighed a bit in relief. He started walking towards her hoping this wouldn't cause her to run away.

"What was that? Rin, did you get hurt?" He asked loud enough for her to hear and looked as if a pain of worry were in his eyes.

There was that pang again. The weight of her own conscience seemed to have increased tenfold. The sound of the snow crunching behind her increased in volume. Haru... He's coming closer. She wasn't sure if she needed to back away, or stay.

"... I'm fine," she said adamantly, her back still facing him. She didn't want to see him worried about her. Upon remembering the very monsters that she was running from, she had to get Haru to leave. Having him hurt was the last thing that she ever wanted. "Run away. Leave. I don't want to see you."

Ignoring anything around him, he continued to proceed closer. "Then you can close your eyes," he commented back as he walked a bit faster pace to catch up to her. He could be just as stubborn as Rin when he felt the need. He wasn't going to let her run away like this when he wanted her safe.

"Pretty cold day, Miss. Don't you need a coat?," he said while making small talk.

She turned to give Haru a bitter look before closing her eyes. "I'm fine as it is." Despite what she said, she did look pretty cold, not to mention that her feet were completely white and seemed to be devoid of blood.

She wrapped her arms around herself, feeling more self-conscious than usual. To be seen in this state is absolutely... horrid.

"I don't think a gown is proper snow ware. You should have brought my jacket at least," he said with a sigh. If he didn't get her inside any place soon she'd start getting frostbite. With that thought in mind sped up his pace and soon stood right next to her. He held his hand to her and looked away hoping she'd take it.

She felt his presence behind her. One eye opened hesitantly, and she noticed that he stood there, his hand outstretched, and face looking away. She knew that she didn't really have much of a choice here, and she felt apprehensive about what would happen if they were to stay here any longer. Haru would get hurt... She was determined. I can't let that happen to him.

Also conveniently looking away, Rin took his hand. ... Warm.

He smiled a bit to himself as he took his hand. It might not have been much, but it was enough to keep him happy. He started walking off in some direction hoping to find a place that had clothes. He remembered his boss mentioned something about some broke down mall and decided that would be the best choice at the moment.

He glanced over at Rin and it made him feel warm. Even though the cold made her more pale, it didn't make her any less beautiful.

Rin noticed that he was taking her to another street, a different path from Gure-nii's apartment. Curious as to where he was going to take her, she opened her mouth to speak. Unfortunately, she made the mistake of letting out a small cough before she spoke. "H-Haru... Where are you going?"

Looking down at her he smiled a bit. "You won't use my jacket, gotta find you something you'll like," he replied back giving no hint to where they were going. He tightened his hold her hand a bit not to hurt her, but out of nervousness from her being in the cold for so long. Haru took in a deep breath and watched as the cold air came out. It was quiet between them, but it was still comfortable.

She blinked and felt a little bit spoiled by Haru's kindness. But regardless of that, she knew she shouldn't let him do such a thing, especially for someone like her.

"It's fi-" Before she could end her sentence, she began to have a coughing fit. It was obvious that she was falling ill. She had never really been healthy, after what had happened to her as a child, and especially since she woke up in a cold place like this, in only a flimsy piece of cloth... Such a thing was inevitable too.
