Holy fucking hell.

That had not gone according to plan. Technically Sanji hadn't planned any of this at all, had even done his best to avoid getting into situations like these but of course his shitty luck had to rear its ugly head once more. Months had gone by without so much as a chaste kiss and then that stupid fucking moss head had to walk in on them on the one night they slipped. It was fucking ridiculous.

Ridiculous and more than a little worrying. The look on Zoro's face promised bloodshed and the swordsman was definitely a man true to his word - there was no way they could avoid this conflict. He wasn't entirely sure why the damn marimo was making such a big deal out of it though, it wasn't the first time the cook had ended up with some gorgeous lady. And it wasn't as if this had anything to do with Umi-

Shit. Umi. If she found out ( ... )

Just looking at the cook was making Zoro's blood boil. Really, he had nothing to say - he was pissed. The energy in the air, the way he pushed himself away from the wall, and how he stood all reflected that. He didn't unsheathe any of the swords quite yet.

At the very least, he'd see what Sanji did first. If he would try to explain himself, justify his actions, or even act as if he didn't know why the situation had gotten under the swordsman's skin so very much. Sanji was an idiot, but Zoro knew that when push came to shove, the blond could deduce what was behind all of it. It had been the same fight, over and over for nearly nine months - this wouldn't make it any different.

Zoro stood in a ready stance, silent. He waited to see exactly what was going to happen next.

Shit. This was bad. Really bad, even.

Pushing away the feeling of deja vu (snow in August, very fitting) Sanji silently approached him, eyes narrowed into slits under the blond bangs. Zoro was right if he thought the cook had a pretty good idea what all this was about - he knew he had screwed up but it wasn't as if he could help it. Women had a way of messing up his priorities and Anemone... she was so very good at it. And it wasn't like he had made any promises to Umi either beyond the bond of friendship. Hell, he hadn't even confessed how he felt about her yet unlike that damn broccoli head.

So really, this wasn't a big deal. It definitely wasn't any of that shitty marimo's business and once he got past that point of reasoning the initial cautiousness gave way for pure anger. What the hell did the asshole think he was doing, getting involved in things that had nothing to do with him?!

"You wanna say something, asshole? Then say it."
