Summary: Namine, Kairi and Prydain have done a little lunch-dating down at Shinji's, to get the girls some fresh air and a scenery change. Afterwards, there's still some winding down to do, still some things unsaid.
the log:
Kairi had been dropped back off at Latimir, and now the two made their way back to Gohl, hand in hand and on careful guard for the contant danger of the city's streets. Usually Prydain walked them with much less care, but with the girls in company, he couldn't afford to be caught off guard in their defense.
But the replica had been strangely on the quieter side throughout their time down in the bar, at times distracted and thumbing around with his communicator, letting Namine and Kairi catch up. He felt a little guilty, Discedo keeping them a bit apart, lots of things to do with the upkeep of Gohl that meant he didn't walk Namine over to the other residences half as often as he should...not that he trusted the others in the city to not stir up some trouble.
Yorda reminded him often that it wasn't right to cage people up, even if out of a well-meaning protection. And as he cast vaguely guilty eyes to her on the way home, he realized he'd been doing just that yet again.
He cleared his throat, trying to start up some innocent length of conversation. It felt...awkward at times, talking to her, his confidence often nosediving into bashful boy territory. She had seen his memories after all, and his mistakes first hand. His devotion to her was something she'd drawn out with her own hands, and that wasn't something easy to acknowledge.
"So...that was nice, huh?" He began as they climbed the rubbly steps of the building that now felt more like home than Destiny Islands or Castle Oblivion could be. "We should go out and do that more often. Looks like Kairi's been alright."
