Sally had already heard of Knuckles' accomplishments on Angel Island from Tails, impressed with the idea of programming a shield, of all things, into such a land mass. While she doubted they'd be able to achieve something so impressive in Discedo, there was still the possibility of rounding up just the right parts to make much smaller shields-to protect buildings, to protect individual people. Any little thing they could put together would make a world of difference, and that was all that mattered.

Startled by the knock at the door and the call of her name, Sally sat up straight with a tiny gasp. Dusting herself off, dulling the sound of the communicator and setting it face-down on the bed, she moved towards the door. Opening it revealed Knuckles; she smiled. "It's nice to finally meet you in person."

Knuckles tried to smile at the friendly greeting, he wasn't sure if he succeeded.

While the Echidna was getting more accustom to being around people, he even had a small list of people that he would welcome to the floating Island without complaint, well, with no complaint other than 'What does Sonic need my help with now?'

But demanding to meet someone, and being warmly invited into their home instead. That he wasn't used to. He was too used to having his territory invaded instead of invading someone else's.

“I'm...glad you were willing to meet with me.” Knuckles said unsure how to continue, “Tails said it was your idea to try and used my Floating Island's technology here?”

Sally nodded, humming a small sound of approval, and took a step back from the door. "That's right." Already, she was feeling exited; the possibilities ran rampant in her head, and here stood the young man who could help achieve them all. "You were able to install a shield into your island? All on your own? I'd love to see any blueprints you might -"

She paused, leaned back. "But you want to know if you can trust me."

Knuckle’s awkward smile grew a little more genuine as he watched Sally get excited. And then fell flat when she paused.

“Ah, yes I do.” Knuckles admitted. “Tails seems to trust you enough, and Sonic gave you a Chaos Emerald so that’s in your favour, but I just wanted to talk to you myself. Can’t be to careful.”
