Ever since he woke up this morning, Simon had been reaping the benefits of an unusually clear thinking process. A great deal of them centered around Harry Mason.

It made sense now. Everything did.

Which was why the doctor decided to visit. The door didn't hinder him this time, though a quick glance around told Simon that Harry was not in the main room. The sound of water told the doctor which way to go, and soon enough Simon was walking in on Harry's bath.

"There you are," he said. Simon wasn't the least bit embarrassed at catching Harry at at time like this, though it did occur to him that the author might be... It did not matter. This was more important.

"You are not too busy, good." There was an empty bucket Harry had used to haul the water in. The doctor calmly turned it over and sat down.

There's a moment of silence when Harry sees Simon just. Walk right inside of his bathroom, while he was taking a bath. And Simon is completely calm and either ignorant of Harry's state, or he just didn't care.

For a moment, the writer just stares at him, baffled.

Then immediately scrambles to try to hide himself in the tub.

"Simon--!" What the hell has gotten into him? "I-- I am busy! I'm kind of in the middle of-- What are you doing?!"

He didn't care, not in the least. Simon's gaze never wavered either; he looked Harry in the eye, never wandering.

"Waiting for you to calm down," he replied. "There is something I wanted to discuss with you. Remember?"

The doctor hardly cared about the things he had been considering this morning either. Yet he knew that Harry would care, a great deal in fact. So that was why he was here, out of fairness to Harry.

The least the older man could do was stop splashing around so much and listen.

Not that Simon was bothered either way.

"It is important."

If anything, Simon's immense calmness is a little unsettling. It is Simon, but something about him doesn't seem quite right. He knows Simon; how does this not bother him?

But it's important, apparently.

Harry tries to settle down and greatly wishes he had a bath curtain right about now, but the best he can do is just sink a little lower in his bath and peer at the doctor, trying not to be horrifically embarrassed (although Harry still is).

"All right," the writer says hesitantly, frowning. "What is this about?"

It's obviously important enough that Simon came in while Harry was bathing.
