Finally hitting the home stretch guys. The question is: can you make it until then?
Saturday dawns nice and bright. Too bad you can't see it with all that fog. Especially those of you in Spero. Oh those of you in Spero... You're in for a treat! You may notice Saturday you start to feel weak, drained even. Well it's been a stressful month: monsters, bodies, smothering fog and lets not forget those jerks on the network. It's almost as if life's... out to get you.
Your paranoia of the last few days won't be unrewarded. On Saturday for those in Spero they'll find suddenly they have a face to their Watcher: every dead body in Spero. That's right. Did you think they were just for show? Strangers, friends, foes, it doesn't matter who these bodies are to you. They're getting up and they're on the move. But before you start running through your typical zombie movie strategies you should know one thing:
Each of these bodies has the full abilities of their living counterparts. If they could punch through a wall in life, they can do it now. Special attacks? Magic? Teleportation? You name it they can do it. And they're hungry. Try not to get bitten because if you do... Things are going to become a little strange.
If you are bitten by a zombie you will find the Spero you know flicker out of sight much like the original objects and bodies to be replaced by a much different Spero. This one looks like a war zone. Buildings aren't just collapsed, they're torn down, bombed, exploded, burned and every building bears signs of fighting. Shoddily made defenses of blockades and barbed wire can be found all over along with every sign of carnage imaginable. Wondered where those bodies got their wounds? You are now looking at the battle field. Enjoy! It's a new form of hell.
Watch out for the toxicity of the air and the monsters and you should be fine! At least for the five minutes it takes before you finally blip back into the Spero you know and hopefully appreciate much more now. Once bitten characters will continually find themselves blinking back and forth between the two Speros. Poisonous monster pit or zombie brawl match, you'll have plenty of time to consider which you prefer as your pals on the Discedo side of things work on that transport! Just hope they're quick because by Tuesday all characters bitten will find themselves stuck in the other Spero. This is becoming quite a predicament...
And fear not all you lucky guys and gals on the Discedo and Dissimulo side of things! No zombies for you, but you're not exempt from this carnival of the dead either. There's a show going on and you've all got front row tickets. Starting Saturday ghosts of all the deceased can be found wandering around. Thankfully they don't seem to notice you, but they're not exactly quiet either. Some of the things they say might in fact be quite familiar, conversations from the past you know are long gone by. They might even re-enact your favorite scenes! Of course that's the familiar side. They also can be heard talking to people they shouldn't know and saying things almost as if... they live in the Discedo experiment themselves. Or a place near-exactly like it. How curious...
Better hurry on fixing that subway guys, this situation is turning from sour to rotten and only one group of people is offering you the means to fix it. But can you really trust them? Let's hope this isn't a risk you'll end up regretting further down the road.
FAQ
Q. What if my character is being attacked by an uberpowerful god zombie?
That's fine! For any large scale property damage (anything greater than taking out part of a wall, i.e. whole building floors or even buildings all together) please run it by a mod first for approval! In addition to the normal contact methods you may also ask for permission for those sorts of things on this post.
Q. What kinds of things do the ghosts talk about?
Ghosts can be heard repeating any canon conversation (it's alright if it's headcanon, whatever they would have talked about in life back home). In addition they can also be heard talking as if they live in Dissimulo, Discedo or Spero and addressing characters from other canons. So you may hear, for example, Spain from Hetalia addressing damage done to Marshall to Usagi from Sailor Moon. Don't be afraid to be creative!
Q. What sort of monsters are in the alternate Spero?
If you can imagine it, it's there. Run wild!
Q. Do communicators work in alternate Spero?
They do, but only audio and text. For audio there's
heavy static. A familiar coincidence...? If you listen close enough for those of you on the receiving end of audio communications you'll hear screaming, cries for help and pained sobbing. Text might be less traumatizing...
Q. Will characters in the subway see the zombies and ghosts?
Ghosts can be seen up until the Spero terminal station. There zombies will be found instead and ghosts will be completely absent in all of Spero.
