April Activity Check
SOME THINGS ARE DIFFERENT THIS TIME AROUND, so read closely! Requirements have been changed!
This check encompasses everything activity-wise from the month of APRIL. Any posts or threads done between the 1st of April and the 8th of May can be used for it! This check will run from May 1st to May 8th, and you have until then to check-in with all of your characters (unless you're on hiatus)!

-Requirements for the check are as follows:
*1 IC journal post from any time during the month.
*1 thread of any length from any time during the month in a different journal from your character's. This includes the logs community as well as commentlogs/action posts! Anything ICly that was done in a journal other than your character's.
*Please note that we only use the HIATUS POST to determine who is on hiatus for the duration of the check. Please keep in mind that posting a hiatus note in the OOC COMMUNITY is optional, but if you do not post to the Hiatus Post and are unable to check in, you run the risk of being removed from the game. Please don't abuse the hiatus feature. If we notice a pattern with people hiatusing around the AC period every month, we will be talking to them about it.
*If you notice that someone has hiatused in the OOC community and not in the Hiatus Post, you can let us know. But, we will require you to link us to the OOC community post that they hiatused in!
*If you were unable to fill the requirements for all of your characters during the month of the check, you will have the Activity Check week to fill them. (For example, if you couldn't post for Bob in April, you can do it between May 1st-7th and still have it count!) However, if you use a post for Bob from the first week of May, you can't use it again the next month to check in with.
*If I have tagged a log done in discedo_logs, can I use it to check in with for thread requirements?
Yes you can! We would encourage you not to do this very often and instead to tag others' entries, but it can be done.
*If I tag the same character with several different characters, can I use all of those as thread requirements, or do I have to pick?
You may do this for up to three characters. So if your characters (Bob, Tom, Jane and Dave) all tag a post in Sue's journal, you would be able to choose three of those to check in with, but not more than that.
*What about hiatuses/canon updates/new characters? Do they have to submit full requirements?
If a character was accepted within the last two weeks (meaning, after the 18th of the month), we want to see reduced requirements (outlined below*)! This is the same as if a character was on hiatus (or canon update, thus rendering them absent from the city) for the first two/three weeks of the month, and came back during the last week of the month.
* Reduced requirements: One IC post in the character's journal, and one thread in any other journal. If you ARE doing reduced requirements, please add a note to let us know why (ie, hiatus, just accepted, etc.)!
*NEW! What if my character was accepted literally just a day or two before the Activity Check starts?
Then we would like to see you check-in with a link to your first IC journal post.
*What if my hiatus ends during the activity check?
We give hiatuses a few days of grace period, meaning that if you put the 4th or 5th as your return date, for example, we would allow 2-3 days in case you're unable to return exactly on the date mentioned. If you ARE able to check in at any time during your hiatus, we would fully encourage you to do so. It would earn awesome points from us! If you can't, however, and you have a hiatus post up, you won't be required to.
*What if something unexpected happens and I'm unable to check in?
If something unavoidable happens (internet/power outage, serious RL stuff) that means you absolutely can't be around at all during the AC period, please IM a mod (For the ones who monitor the activity check: otterbeans or parronhasrp on AIM) about reclaiming your characters! It's understandable, and in cases like that we can allow players to reclaim their characters. We will allow a 3-day grace period for characters who don't check in, to account for unavoidable circumstances. "Unavoidable" in this case means that for most, or all, of the AC week, you were absolutely physically unable to check in or put up a hiatus post (or to have someone do it for you with your permission). It does not account for people who have been around but haven't checked the main community, or simply didn't bother to check in. We're watching things like this; people in the latter category will be asked to reapply. The grace period does mean that characters dropped on the AC will not be reserveable until the end of the 10th of the month. However, after that point they will be fair game.
*Do I have to have all the requirements for all of my characters at the same time?
Not at all. You can check in with one character at a time if you need to, or post them all at once if you want!
*Do the communicators still shock people who haven't posted in at least 2 weeks, even though we only have to make one post a month?
Of course! You don't think they would let you off that easily, do you?

ADDITIONAL NOTES
Due to several factors, we decided to lower this months requirements for everyone. We also expect to lower requirements permanently in the near future, so keep an eye out for that!
