Never was a big fan of Wilde, to be honest. I did like the one with the nightingale and the rose, but I haven't quite been able to get through Dorian Grey. (The Oscar Wilde tome we picked up from a library sale, sitting next to the laptop is staring at me. I don't really feel bad BECAUSE HIS STORIES ARE SO TRAGIC.)
STEPHEN FRY. AS MYCROFT. I THINK I'VE ONLY READ ONE STORY WITH MYCROFT MENTIONED, BUT THIS WOULD BE A GOOD, GOOD IDEA. Admittedly, the only I think I've watched with Stephen Fry was V4V, but no one's suggested anything for me to watch AND THAT IS NOT MY FAULT. (No one at high school was a big BBC fan - Dr. Who and Torchwood excluded - so everyone at uni is like YAY and I'm a bit out of the loop.)
... but if they put Hugh Laurie as Moriarity, I might diiieeeee. It makes up for the time he did 101 Dalmations. D: AND AND, HE MIGHT SNARK. IN HIS NATIVE ACCENT. I would rewatch Blackadder for that accent!
I have never heard of declensions. o_o What on earth are you guys starting out on?
The seats in Psychology are also the bane of my life - but that is because they're soft and cushy and comfy, even though the fold out desks are terrible, and sometimes, sometimes, one of the really stupid lecturers will turn the lights out and it'll be dim, and I'll be sleepy, and their voice will put me out like a night, especially in winter/autumn/rainy days when it's freezing cold outside and warm and sorta stuffy but terribly comfy inside. These seats! Do not help with STAYING AWAKE Psych department! D:
... but getting into English and Psych. is one of the better things I've heard from anyone so far. Keep rocking on. <3 <3 <3
TBH I've only ever read Dorian Gray although I have a copy of his play "The Importance of Being Earnest" in my bookcase ..which I've never touched but it's good to know I've got it.
GASP, YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED QI HOSTED BY STEPHEN FRY?? BLASPHEMY, GET THEE TO A YOUTUBE. (And of course him as Oscar Wilde in the film Wilde where Jude Law gets naked as his boytoy lover)
Sadly, I believe Daniel Day Lewis is playing Moriarty, but HEY it's not BRAD PITT. Well for Latin we started out with easy vocab and we go through chapters in our textbook while learning basic grammar.
Oh I hate the fold out desk, they're never big enough for really anything. Haha I decided to not do a whine post where I have my English topic proposal due this coming Thursday, first Psych chapter test this Friday, and my History term topic bibliography due next Monday on the 4th. :D
