I understand how you feel. Just your head up and keep looking, I'm sure that something will come your way. Perhaps you may have to suck it up and take a demeaning job at first, but it doesn't mean it you have to stay in it for long. Just take anything to hold you over, while you look for something more deserving of your qualifications.

Have you ever considered moving out of Halifax? I'm not saying it's wonderful here (as an example), but your education would definitely matter for the abundance of opportunities there are.

It's definitely a "buyers market" in Nova Scotia, unfortunately. And as long as the local politicians keep the same attitude that they have now, it will stay that way for a while. A simple example of that is Rodney MacDonalds response to the Ad that was placed in local papers to entice people to come out west. He said: "I'm not worried".

When considering that young people are leaving in droves already, I suppose I'm not surprised that that was his response that already. But he fucking well should be worried. The problem is, as I'm convinced, that the governement of Nova Scotia does not care about the out migration of its youth. If you live in Nova Scotia, you are guaranteed the highest tuition and student debt, then when you graduate you are guaranteed the lowest paying jobs (if you can even find one). And at every election, all they do is pay lip service to the issues - after the election it's the same as always (well not quite... tuition goes up, and opportunities decline).
