Someone on tumblr asked me to make a reclist and also to explain where to find One Direction fic. SO HERE YOU GO.
One Direction (Band) tag on AO3. If you literally haven't been keeping up at all, you could start by sorting by kudos, which gives you the stories in order of how much people gave kudos. This way is biased towards WIPS and not an objective ranking of goodness or whatever, but it's a great place to start.
one-d-fanwork and 3point5seats are the two communities on livejournal that I follow for fic. You can backread those communities for something that catches your fancy. 3point5seats has a recs tag if you want to see what other people have enjoyed.
1dhotrecs is a reccing community that often links to good stuff.
I literally have no idea how fic works on tumblr. Find authors you like and follow them?
