Well, it looks like this university is almost exactly what I expected. On the way to my room, I already passed a hideous sign made out of a spray painted sheet draped over a bridge and a couple who I can only hope was intoxicated kissing in the kitchen. Wonderful.
Why I wasn't permitted to attend an institution at which the students focus on research and development rather than -- What was that sign-up sheet I saw for, Romeo and Juliet? -- I will never know. I only hope that at least the faculty here will live up to its reputation and exceed my expectations. Hopefully this won't be very hard for them to do, as my expectations are dropping with each passing minute.

Note to all students in my building:
If you disturb me with your drunken antics on a weeknight, I promise you will regret it.
