“Daddy, you’re good at that!”
Elle unsuccessfully strangled a giggle. Gabriel looked down at the pumpkin, it's top cut off, and then at the lump of pumpkin flesh in his hand. It was a reminiscent scene, he had to admit.
Once she got to the point of tears she quieted, ruffling Noah’s hair and whispering, “He sure is, baby.”
Gabriel sighed and Elle pouted, mocking him. “Oh, cheer up. It’s not your only talent,” she reassured, winking exaggeratedly.
“You’re right it’s not…” he muttered lamely, turning his attention back to the pumpkin as Elle murmured ‘grumpy daddy’ into Noah’s hair.
