Death At Dawn

Okay, this isn't the thing that I recently said I was gonna write- I wrote it a few months ago. I thought I'd put it up here and see what people think of it.

Death At Dawn

By Laura Pitts (aka Dis_Netis/ Pittsy)

A Hand twitches and the clock strikes Noon.
A Heel grinds a cigarette into the dust,
A glint of steel in his gaze, a badge of honour.
Space echoes in a moment as they grip the silence.

The Star, mocking them, for a lady on the dime.

Shallow wounds drive the mind,
Eternal battle holds the nerve,
Man versus Man,
Hand versus Hand,
Speed and guts,

Fastest fingers, first to die.
