The Age of Not Believing
Taemin/Key; 142 words; PG. Kibum takes pictures for a reason.

"Just one picture- Oh, come on. There you go! Good pose!"

Kibum watches as the last of his three shots comes out of his polariod camera. He lays down all three films on his lap, eyes travelling back and forth. In the first shot, Taemin's grudingly smiling, obviously still sleepy with the way his eyes are unfocused and still barely open. In the second shot, the small smile on Taemin's lips isn't so forced anymore and, instead, comes off as shy; Kibum laughs a little. The last shot shows a bit of Taemin's teeth, a not-so-small smile on his lips. The flashing of a v-sign is a plus. Kibum shakes his head.

When he turns around, he tucks the pictures in his favorite notebook so he can put these little polaroids on display later, just above his bed. So he won't forget.

Definitely, Maybe
Onew-centric; 470 words; PG. Of course, he is the person who knows Jinki best.

"Hey buddy, you awake?"

Jinki shifts in his once comfortable sleeping position, soon straightening up and squinting as he looks for the source of the voice. It takes him a while to figure that the voice is coming from the figure sitting on the edge of his bed. The trace of his jaw is familiar, even more so the smile on his lips. He almost begins to think he's seeing things, but he eventually smiles a bit upon recognition of the person on his bed.

"You woke me up."

"Sorry," says the newcomer, and Jinki sits up to express interest in whatever the newcomer came to say. "I figured we could talk while Jonghyun and Kibum are out doing Lord knows what."

"You mean clubbing," Jinki quips, laughing lightly. "They're with Minho so you shouldn't be worried about anything." The newcomer cocks his head to the right and sighs, replying, "Yeah, probably."

"Definitely."

"Maybe."

"Isn't that a movie?" Jinki's fully awake now, and he can see the faint frown on his friend's lips. "Joking, joking. Anyway, we were supposed to talk about something?" Jinki's eyes are hopeful, perhaps saying 'You better have a good story to tell that you had to disrupt my sleep'. His friend scratches the back of his ear, seemingly unsure of what he should say.

"Do you ever get tired of being the leader?"

Jinki's eyes shoot up at the question. Thinking about it, there have been a number of times when he'd wished he wasn't the eldest in the group, wasn't made the leader because of that. Jonghyun would have done a better job, he was sure of that, since Jonghyun can straighten up the 'kids' when they're rowdy or just plain not in the mood. Kibum might have done a better job, too, since he takes care of all of them better than Jinki ever could. Of course, there's Minho who always looks good in front of the camera and who's always in control; he'd sure make a great leader. "Yeah, he'd make a great leader," Jinki mumbles under his breath and by the time he's done thinking things through, he's already got a sad smile on his lips.

"Jinki?"

"No, not at all." Jinki's smile is softer than before. "I'm going back to sleep now," he then tells his friend, and his friend just nods and walks away, closing the door behind him.

Jinki bolts up and blinks twice, waking up from his three hour-sleep. He looks at the wall clock - Jonghyun and Kibum are supposed to be home by now. But then it's only 1 a.m. and Kibum won't leave a bar at such an 'early' hour. So he falls back down on his bed and asks himself, "Do you, really?" and promptly answers with a small smile, "Never. Not at all."
