Elizabeth was a bit excited with a twinge of nervousness about teaching at the academy. She was surely instructing something she knew quite a bit about, and it wasn't as though she had a full classroom. Just two students with vastly varying skills in sailing. It shouldn't be too bad, right?
She arrived at the classroom early with several things packed away in the bag around her shoulder. Lifting it from her torso and setting it atop the desk at the front of the room, she sighed and retrieved each item and placing it on the desk: a very odd looking compass [Jack was going to kill her for taking borrowing it], her silk and jade knot, a few dusty looking textbooks, a model ship, and a very crumpled piece of parchment.
Lessons planned, and her nerves calmed a bit, all that was left to do was wait for her students.
"Well, I sure got here bloody early," she mumbled. "Nothing wrong with adequate preparation and plenty of time..." She crossed and recrossed her legs and picked at the soles of her boots for the umpteenth time. She glanced at a clock on the wall and readied herself with a pirate-like curve of her lips into her cheeks. Almost time.
