Jim & Ariel - Shopping in Traverse Town [Closed]

What: Masquerade ball costume shopping with a moody teen and an over-excitable redhead!
Warnings: Possible attempts of fluffiness and a overuse of giggles.

Jim appeared, running over to the fountain. He stopped in front of Ariel, bending over to catch his breath. His hair was slightly disheveled and he seemed a bit frazzled.

He gave Ariel a wave and straightened himself. "I'm sorry I'm late," he gasped out. "Morph hid my alarm clock." He gave her a hopeful look and smiled. "I hope you weren't waiting too long..."

Ariel giggled and covered her mouth as she watched Jim try and catch his breath. "You know, Ususally it's me who's late to these sorts of things , So I think I can forgive you. Just this once!" She teased.

"Where is Morph? Did you bring him with you?"

Jim let out one last breath before he flashed Ariel a grin. "Thanks. I appreciate it."

Morph then squeezed his way out of Jim's jacket, bouncing and giggling mischievously.

Jim took Morph into his hands to pet him gently. "Yup. Morphy is here. I couldn't leave him behind...even if he prolonged my nap."

She let out yet another infectious giggle and eagerly took Jim's hand dragging him towards a shop window full of gadgets she'd only ever dreamed about. Ariel was just so excited to go on yet another shopping trip with one of her new friends at the academy.

"They're so fantastic! You're so lucky to be able to have such wonderful things here Jim... I wish I could stay here on land all the time."

Jim was taken off gaurd when Ariel grabbed his hand and pulled toward the shop. He tripped over himself a bit as she dragged him toward the window. He wasn't used to people warming up to him so quickly.

He peered into the window and and gave a nod, though the objects Ariel was so excited about were simple in nature. "Yeah, there are all kinds of neat things here..." He thought for a moment and said with a chuckle, "I'd rather be in the sky myself."

He then smiled at Ariel and asked, "Why can't you stay here on land?"

"...Because of my father." Ariel suddenly looks a little sad, there was something she was hiding from Jim but she didn't look ready to really tell anyone about it and as luck would have it, No one had really found out about how she really came to be in the academy.

"So Uhm..We should really start looking for these costumes, You said you had a idea for yours already? I can't wait to see it!"

Jim looked away and cleared his throat. "Oh, um. Sorry." He decided to not ask any further, since it seemed to be much more of an issue than he thought.

Reaching into his jacket pocket, he pulled out a piece of paper and unfolded it. He handed it to Ariel saying, "I'm going as him. His name is Anakin Skywalker. I think it would be pretty cool."

She looked at the paper with great interest, she giggles a little Jim certainly looked the part to play thid young Jedi master anyway. "Oh that's a great idea! I still don't know what I should dress up as though...What do human girls usually wear to these sorts of things?"

"Thanks." He took the paper back and returned it to his pocket. Placing his hand on his chin, he studied her for a bit. "Hmmmm, not sure. I think it depends on their personality." Grinning, he asked, "How would you describe yourself in three words?"
