There were plenty of things that Violet Parr regretted doing in her short life. She regretted letting Dash take the last slice of pizza during the last dinner she had with her family before leaving. She regretted being late for her dates with Tony, which weren't always her fault but that didn't stop him from breaking up with her. She regretted trying and utterly failing to stop that one robber on her own, which ended up in her parents losing all hope in her and sending her away to this place. She regretted letting her mom pack so much luggage for her to carry.
And she definitely regretted signing up for a dorm in Hoover Hall. Of all the bad decisions she had ever made, that one had to be the worst. How was she supposed to know that Syndrome would be living on the same floor?
She stood inside the building's elevator, watching with dread as it advanced up to the sixth floor. Maybe it isn't too late to head back to the library. I'm sure the librarian won't mind if I just camp out there for the rest of the year...Right? But it was too late. Before she realized it, the elevator door slid open. With a sigh, she dragged her many bags out of the elevator and walked into the hallway of certain doom.
